Won Calico’s first Best in
Show at the 1999 National Cage Bird Show.
We were
extremely proud that our 1st NCBS BiS was out of “Aura” our
1st NCS Best in Show Winner. She is shown, slightly
camouflaged by her rosettes, winning 2nd at the 2000 NCBS
being defeated only by “The Albino”.
She proved her quality
by also placing 6th BiS at the ‘01 NCBS [again won by
“Albino”. Almost all of her progeny have been retained by
Calico for the her best qualities & those of her Mom Aura.
In
addition, Calico desired to incorporate the out- cross vigor
contributed by her Sire 16R 04 ‘97 that we acquired from Jo
& Charles Reeves.
